do my motor mounts need to be replaced?
i just put a b18c in my ek..... in 2nd and 3rd gear the motor jolts as if it's trying to jump out of the chassis..... in every gear under even moderate acceleration the shift **** can be seen to move forward quite a bit..... any ideas what the problem may be? do i need to get new mounts and/or inserts? i know all five mounts are good and bolted in very tight....... any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Where and what condition did you get your swap mounts....I use Hasport on the timing side and a Rear SI mount and a Si tranny side....the bottoms are off of a GSR and they have inserts. I plan on upgrading to all hasport.

driver's side and rear have brand new si brackets. all of the other brackets and all of the mounts are the original pieces from my civic. i also planned on getting the hasport kit but my account balance owned me..... hopefully this summer. i'm also thinking about getting the es inserts for the torque mounts..... but, i'm still wondering if all that motion is a cause of some weak mounts........
oh, it looks as if my driver's side mount has a rip in the rubber.....

Replace that **** asap.....at LEAST get one that is the stock replacement...for the swap of course. That could suck if it yanks the hell out of it and breaks or something.
