The system is valved in two places. Either do it yourself the illegal way and press down on it so it blows into the atmosphere, or do it right and take it to a certified air conditioning service station (Valvoline, etc.) and have them do it.
Then you just unbolt ****.

Re: disconnecting/removing AC (Archidictus)
I'm taking it out because i'm changing over to mpfi B series and it wont work. I've never had/used AC in my past 3 cars, so i dont think i'll miss it. Wouldn't mind keeping if i could, but no biggie. Seeing i'm about to pull the D now, i'd have to trailor it to a certified AC installer to have them discharge it

HAHHAAH, guess that was THE screw.
I'd rather not release that **** into the atmosphere, but now i dont know what to do. I didnt know if they made dicharge tanks like the refill ones...

I would just use a big cloth, like an old shirt or something, and put it over the socket and unscrew THAT bolt that we did last time and let the cloth absorb it?
