Default Difficulty on getting gear lever into 1st

This issue isn't exactly a major issue as far I can tell, but I just purchased another 1994 Civic VX, and the whether it be at a stop or not, warm or cold, the gear lever has some trouble getting all the way into 1st. The gear itself drives fine on the tranny, but to get the lever all the way in, I have to kind of jostle it around and push a little harder and you can kind of hear it clunking into the 1st gear position with whatever is providing the resistance to easily moving into 1st. Now, obviously this is all with the clutch depressed and it's not a clutch, slave, etc. related issue, but I'm suspecting it might be something with the front and rear shifter bushings? If not that, what else could it be? A 1-2 shift fork in the tranny? I'm open to ideas or those that have had similar experiences.

Check bushing on shift lever, both ends.
