Default Differences between civic models?

Hey I was wondering if anyone can tell me the main differences between dx, lx, ex coupe/sedan models. I know they each come with different engines, but one of my friends told me that the big difference is the space available in the engine bay. That is, with a dx if you want to swap in a say a b16, you would have to lose some options such as a/c or power steering. With an ex, if you were to go b16, you would have the room to keep all your options. Can anyone help me out?

Your friend is wrong. I do not know each little difference in options, etc., and some people here do. There is no difference in space in the engine bay between the different models when swapping an engine.
