Icon2 Difference between Civic Ex Coupe 2006-2010

Is there a big difference between a Civic Ex Coupe 2006 vs 2007 or 2008, 2009?

I'm trying to decide if i should look for a cheap 2006 civic if there's not a lot of difference between 2006 vs 2007- 2010?

What are the major differences, do you think its worth it to buy a newer model if they have almost the same features?

2006-2008, not much difference.
2009+, front grill and bumper.

Get a late 2009+, as you'll avoid the engine crack on the R18s.

What are the chances of a getting a car with an engine r18 Crack? are they really that bad.

How do i test the car before buying it, to see if it will have engine crack?

you're asking all the right questions, my gf has a 2010 ex sedan and it runs like a charm..no problems what so ever. What u should also be asking is how far down the road would you expect to see the cracks in the block and is it a honda factory fault or is it the result of over pushing the car.

It covers all 2006-2008 R18s and early 2009s. The warranty for that is extended to 8 years from the original purchase date, unlimited miles.

I've heard stories of one that cracked at 20K miles, some are still going strong at 100K+ miles. So, who knows when it'll happen.

My 07 Civic Coupe ex, engine block cracked last Friday on my home from work. Took the car to my husbands job ( he works at Honda ) and he looked the issue up online and found out that my car had a extended warranty that was good for 10 years after the purchase of the car for cracked engine block. My car was purchased August of 07 and was able to get the car fixed and I didn't have to pay for a thing.
