Did B16a SIRII engines come with "block Girdles"?
Like the topic says...
I purchased one and after stripping the motor, I noticed that it was lacking one.

yeah, the b16b block isn't a b16a block its a destroked b18c5 block
[same deck height as b18/20's]. that would explain why it would share the block girdle w/ the c1/c5. I could be wrong, but thats what I've seen + researched.

JDM B16a SIRII cranked 168-170 hp as well as did USDM 'Teg GSR, yet GSR got the girdle but not JDM B16a SIRII?

true, but then again - no b16a, b17a, b18a/b or b20b/z did, only the
