if your coil is sparking then there is no reason your plugs shouldn't be other than a bad diz cap/rotor/plug wires/plugs.
No it doesn't work right now, i had a short, fixed it. then my coil went out adn i replaced it and now i have spark and fuel but still no start. might be my timing or my compression. i dunno.

my coil isnt sparking it just has VOLTAGE, no SPARKAGE. lol.
i just got a whole new dizzy and it still doesnt.

i just had to find where the wire was, but see mine kept blowing a fuse, that's how i knew, if your harness to your pump is getting power then you don't have a short.

ok let's recap here.
The fuel pump works.
The fuel pump harness is getting power.
But the fuel pump isn't turning on when u turn they key.
Your getting voltage(or spark?) at your coil?---
Not your plugs.
CEL stays on.

ok iam a bit confused... you say your getting spark, and then your saying your not??? let make things simple, take out your plugs and plug it to the spark plug wires, make sure the plugs are not in the engine and out. have someone try to start it and see if your getting spark... if not, try taking the plugs out of the wire and lay the wire next to a good ground area. see if you get spark from there. if you get spark from hooking up to the plugs then its not your spark issue, if your not getting spark from the plug and from the wire only, u need spark plugs. if you dont get it both try then you need a new dizzy... try to see if this help...
