Delay after turning key before car starts
Issue just started a couple weeks ago. Seems to happen when car is cold. All light turn on when I turn the key and there isnt any noise just 1 5 seconds delay maybe till car actually starts up. Battery is newish and ground cables are good. Remote starter doesnt work with one click it takes a couple tries before the car actually turns on.

Any suggestions?
Sticky starter?
Thanks

Re: Delay after turning key before car starts
check your head gasket. could have coolant getting in the cylinders and having harder starts. your simpton description is text book for a head gasket leak. after checking the block with a block tester you will know if you just have an ignition issue

Re: Delay after turning key before car starts
I'm not loosing any coolant or having idle issues. From other posts I've browsed through a head gasket issue was never mentioned. Car starts fine after its warmed up but I dont know if that would rule its out.
