LS-VTEC possible head gasket issues
So I recently purchased a 99 Em1 that has a lsv build in it with gsr trans. Well when the engine is cold or I wake up and try starting it take forever to crank and when it does it idles rough until it warms up then idles around 1500. So i only had the vehicle literally a week also after I turn the engine off for like 5 mins and try starting it again sounds like it’s missing for like a minute then clears up. I drove it yesterday down the street it also starting running hot on me can anyone help me diagnose this please and thanks.

Leaking head gasket. Sorry
The rough starting and running for a minute when you first start it up in the morning is coolant pooled on the pistons burning off. To confirm this, let it sit after driving, then, before starting it, pull the spark plugs and shine a light down in the cylinders. You'll almost certainly see at least one puddle of coolant.
I had a b20V that did the exact same thing.

Hey, if you're gonna criticize someone else's grammar, you better make damn sure yours is correct. *shrug* Just sayin'.

Better not bring up an archive of this forum at any point pre-2012 then.
This forum has aged well with it's users - these cars are collectors items now. Before when every average 8th grade dropout bum was using these Hondas as tuning platforms, the forums had a lot more rampant idiocy, IMO.
