Default Del Sol tuneing Nor Cal.

Hello. I was wondering if any of you knew a place in sacramento where I could tune up my honda Del Sol si. It seems really slow...it has the engine with 160 HP (at first I thought at some point somebody swaped it and ripped me off) turns out its there but it feels like 100ish...I don't know alot about cars but I know enough and take good care of it. TL;DR

Thanks.

Is your VTEC engaging properly? When I bought my Sol a few weeks ago with the 160HP motor, it seemed kinda slow. Turned out my VTEC was not working because the solenoid wasn't plugged in. Is your car redlining at 6500rpm? If so, VTEC is not engaging. Could be a CEL, bad VSS, oil pressure (dented oil pan is a common issue), or a number of other things.

Now that I've fixed my VTEC, my Sol is quite the rocket

will a stock b16a3 that comes in the del sol have no torque at all so you wont feel much difference even with a tune. i got the same motor in my hatchback with just intake, header, exhaust, itr cams and tuned on a p28 in crome i made about 155hp to the wheel. it opens up a lil better now than when it was stock. b16 have no torque.

That's an easy question to answer, because the Del Sol Si came with the lower horsepower D16Z6 motor that put out 125hp. That would explain it not feeling so fast. Only the Del Sol VTEC trim had the 160hp B16A3 motor.

if you look in it to the FAQ sticky on forced induction (not sure if this 1 has it ) it will show you all the local tunners in your state/area
