check your bushings...check your heat shields...check your interior for maybe door rattling...loose screws....start with the first 2 then work your way down.

unfortunately, the del sol interior was made poorly IMO. rattles and so forth can be fixed, but will most likely occur in the future. my best solution is to get a good stereo system so you dont hear them anymore. thats what i did. :D

but if you really want to fix it, you can try to tighten the top or buy a roof lock kit that i believe a guy named Steve Cockrill bought. he is a member on this board as well. try to contact him. hope that helps.

gl though.

How did you go about hitting a 14.2 with a stock ls motor?

Well I didn't buy it, the dealership installed it for free.

Sources of rattles.......

1. Exhaust heat shields (remove and discard, unless you're driving through fields).
2. Shifter mechanism (usually on said heat shields, or lube, lube, lube)
3. Roof pins.....thats what the kit mentioned above fixes (see site in my sig)
4. Doors. I adjusted my striker and rubber things this weekend. It used to be that my doors could be "pressed" in when closed, which would mean they could rattle. Now they shut firm and flush as before, but there's NO movement.
5. Could be worn out suspension parts or bushings. These cars are getting on in age, and things wear out eventually.

HTH!

Steve
