del sol idling poor and stalling
I just bought my 4th del sol..but this one is having a idling problem when i turn the car on it goes to like 1800 rpm then drops to 1000k idles ok after warming up.The problem is when i drive it and make a stop the rpm go down making the car stall on me...i try to turn it on after a few seconds and it turns on the problem starts again after i drive it and make a stop when the car stutters and stalls... i replaced the purge control valve because it had a leak but it wasnt it...in fact if i take the hose coming from the im the car revs good..put it back on and it wants to install..
any help is appreciated thanks

Re: del sol idling poor and stalling
The brake booster uses intake vacuum to increase brake pressure. If you have a vacuum leak then pressing the brake can make the symptoms worse. You can try braking with the E-brake, which should not create the same problem. You can test the MAP sensor signal voltage if you want to verify that it's a vacuum leak. To find the leak, you can start squeezing off vacuum lines until you find one where closing it off fixes the idle. You can use starting fluid to find it as well. Spraying starting fluid into a vacuum leak will cause the motor to rev. Good Luck
