YIKES!!!! I barely have brake pressure on my 93 Del Sol Si
On the way home from work this morning the Sol gets pissed and doesn't wanna stop for me.
When I press the brakes to slow down or stop i get pressure for about 3 seconds then it sinks to the floor and the brakes no longer work for squat then I have to pump it again to get pressure.
Later in the day after I got home from school I bleed all 4 brake lines and take it for a test drive and the problem still occurs. I start pumping the brakes again in the driveway and I find brake fluid leaking on the passenger side rim.
So will I have to replace the brake caliper or just that single brake line? I didn't get to much time to fully inspect it because it's dark outside now and I have no garage.
I hope the parts to fix it don't cost much because I'm just a broke college student with a few bills due friday lol.

Similar thing happened to me on my Sol. In my case it was a broken caliper. But you won't know for sure until you can get under the car and see where the leak is coming from. If its the line, you can change just that one, but you might as well change all four because if ones bad the other 3 probably aren't much better. If its the caliper thats leaking then replace both front calipers as well because changing one is not recommended and can cause uneven braking and pad wear and the other one probably won't last long anyway.
Not too expensive. I got 2 brand new calipers for 80 bucks at Advanced Auto Parts in exchange for the old cores. Rubber lines are cheap. I bought SS lines so can't give you an exact price on OE lines can't be more than $40.

If a brake line hose isn't cracked, or sliced open. Replace your master cylinder. I'm having a problem with my pedals sinking to the floor when at a stoplight, and no air in my brakelines. I just replaced them with steelies, so I know it's not those either, and the only thing left is the master cylinder. Try replacing that.
