the day has finally come
after a month or two of planning
i finally ordered my motor.
i'd like to make sure that im understanding everything im going to need.
its a b16sir2 into a 94 del sol.
all im going to need is the motor, i got the complete changover
so all im going to need is that, a chipped p28
and a del sol vtec shift linkage right?
or am i going to need different axles then what comes with the motor?
i ordered from hmotorsonline by the way.

Re: the day has finally come (sol2hatch)
If you bought from hmotorsonline.com, (i hope you did), you will recieve the engine, transmission, axles, shift linkage and ECU.
You should be fine with the mounts they give you, but since its most likely a JDM motor, you will have to use the engine harness from your stock motor. You will have to lengthen the O2 sensor, and one or two other connectors, but for the most part it will fit fine. If your car did not come with the D16Z6 engine (VTEC), you will need to wire in the VTEC wires (VTEC solenoid, VTEC Pressure sensor power and ground and knock sensor. (4 wires) Also, your stock throttle cable won't work unless you have an adaptor. Personally, I would just get a throttle cable from the Del Sol VTEC. I think they are about $25 from Honda. Then no modification will be needed. Other than that, its bolt in. Just label all your connectors with colored markers or masking tape so you don't accidentally reverse any connectors (TPS and MAP sensor are common ones to reverse) and you will be good.
Pick up a Helms manual, it will help you when you get stuck.

Excellent advice given here.
I'd like to add that if you run a rechipped P28 you won't need to wire up the knock sensor as they don't look for one, so that saves some trouble.
Also I'd suggest Kenji for the ECU rechip job - kenji211@tampabay.rr.com - tell him Tom from GA sent you his way. I'd trust that over any bullshit "Spoon/Mugen chip!!!" from Ebay. I've personally ran his chip on my B18C5 and my wife's B16A2 that was in her 1992 Civic.
