What AUTOMATIC transmission can i put on a d16z6... i have recently swaped the trans for a 99 civic ex.. but not 100% that was a good swap.

also just found out who ever swaped the engine left the p2e ecu when the d16z6 uses a p28 waiting for it for arrve maybe that will fix my other problem . somethimes the car specially in the morning for sure has a hard time running , i take the gas off then on, on and off nd drives a bit better i drive like this for atleast five mins then its working fine any ideas of was sencor it might be ??? thankx

You have a mess. The easiest thing to do is swap in manual tranny from any '92 - '00 D-series. The only other thing you can do is run the P2E and a '96 - '00 automatic tranny and accept the fact that the engine wont run properly due to timing differences between the Y8 and Z6. Or if you really want to keep the automatic and have it run properly:

-P28 with a conversion harness
-Any '92 - '95 automatic tranny (avoid the '95 units if you can help it, they look identical, but are stamped A24A instead of M24A, just don't seem to work as good)
-kickdown cable and throttle body from a '92 - '95 automatic EX (or a '94 - '95 DX/LX)
-shift cable from a '92 - '95 civic
-throttle cable from an automatic '92 - '95 civic DX/LX/EX
-rewire engine harness for older automatic tranny (there will be several plugs on the engine harness left over.
