I took my motor to a machine shop to get motor bottom end rebuilt. The cleaned block, and turned crank. now they are assembling block and when they put my eagle rods on crank and they tried to rotating crank the rods are hitting on the main webbing. Has anyone ever heard of this before? they have to grind out knotches for rods i need some information Thanks

yes, the block must be notched

they said it might weaken the block too much and be too close to internal coolant so is it safe still
