this isn't true. with modification, an F23 block can be mated with an H22A and H23 head.

^^
How can that be? DOHC on a SOHC? Haha.

Instead of doing a B/H series head swap on a D series?

Do a J30/2 head swap on it. V4-V6? That will make like a V5! Woot!.

No a B series cannot be put on a D. NOOB!

Edit: You know he's a noob because he Spelt Vtec with an H!. Ahh!

All in all, this might be possible, but the amount of work required to make it run makes it not even worth it.

Although, the figurative "G23" (F23 block, H22A head) does put out more power then a K at half the price of a K swap.

If you really want to throw people off, swap in a G25A1. You won't have any aftermarket parts to throw at it, but the HP and TQ are already really nice (176 HP, 170 TQ.) Good luck finding one though...

Regardless of all the smart *** comments in this thread, you can technically do it with a DOHC ZC head. But you have to drill out a hole in the head for the head bolt/stud, or drill them all out bigger and get new bolts. Even after all of that, you're not going to make your car go any faster than it is now (possibly slower), and there are far less aftermarket parts available. So if you're stuck on getting a DOHC (for whatever reason), just buy a DOHC engine and swap it in. Otherwise build off your stock engine.
