Default D15z1 head(vtec-e) + D16z6 components? will it work?

I have a d15z1 block setting in my back yard and I am curious if all of the z6's head components would bolt up to the z1's head?

Why? Because I could send the z1 head off to get ported/built and still keep my daily driver. Then swap it all out when its ready.

I have a d16z6 in my car. I want to get the vtec e head ported then put all of the z6 parts on it. Then install the head on my z6 block.

are you fucken serious or are you kidding??? Did you ever look at the intake ports on z1 head??? You could spend 10 hours porting those you won't get them as big as z6. Seriously WTF man? Explain.

Why the anger?

Straight from the HT TOS

If a user is causing trouble or not being polite, feel free to flame away (these topics will most likely be locked by the moderators).

I asked a legit question. No I haven't looked at the ports the head is still on the engine.

I would like to know this stuff before I get knee deep in disassembling an otherwise good engine. Or worse spend hundreds of dollars on a head I cant use.

If all of the components will swap over from my z6 head onto the z1 I will have maxx one day of down time. So what, what the ports are like stock the head will be done professionally.

The b16a and b18c5 heads are different heads from the factory but they are pretty much the same after they have been ported and have had chamber work done.

I'm asking if the z1 and z6 head is the same scenario.

I'm not flaming, I'm just suprised.

1. z1 block is weak
2. z1 head sucks flows horribly
3. if you put z6 head on it your compression will be like 8:1
4. z6 head is a better head to build but I would still look for a different block like cx or dx.

The only good thing about z1 head is that it got roller rockers but it's flow kills it anyways.

Then chill with the profane words.

I have no plans for the z1 block.

Thats why I'm getting it ported (If the parts are interchangeable)

Refer to # 2. I also plan on getting some combustion chamber work done.

If the z1 and z6 head can swap all parts its all the same to a head porter.

I am going to edit my original post.

I don't think it can because as I said z1 head uses roller rockers (at least thats what I remember the last time I decide to dig inside a vx) as opposed to z6's normal rockers (no rollers).

First just take of the intake matifold of that z1 then you will tell me if you really wonna mess with it.

LOL I guess more for the head porter to work with. I know the rockers are totally different but they probably mount he same way.
