I've personally done this swap, so I can help on the details.
First of all will this be an actual B16A2 from a 99-00 Civic Si or 96-97 Del Sol VTEC, or are you calling a second-generation OBD1 JDM B16A swap "B16A2" as commonly seen on the internet?
That one question alone will open up two completely different discussions in terms of EXACTLY what parts you're going to need for this swap.
Generally speaking yes the stock P28 ECU can be used to run the B16A, but it will need to be rechipped either with a nice Uberdata/Crome/Hondata program and have it tuned on a dyno, or contact Kenji Plennert at kenji211@tampabay.rr.com for a really nice base map to make good power from if you have no local tuners and dyno around.
Wiring? Depends on exactly which engine you're installing.

Re: d16z6 94' civic Si to b16a2 swap question (B18C5-EH2)
Well, let me explain.
I live in Brazil. we have 3 diferent b16s here.
92 to 94, we had the b16a2, in the hatch, called VTI here.
95, still the eg hatch, VTI, but with the b16a3 (had a knock sensor)
96 to 98, we had the VTI (ek hatch) again with the b16a2.
the del sol, here was called CRX VTI, convertible with eletrical roof and the b16a2.
and the civic del sol, with the d16z6, and manual roof.
i plan to get one form 92 to 94 civic hatch or form the 'del sol' (crx vti for me)
all this i know by reading form the engines
i didnīt realized that are diferetnces between the 92 to 94 b16a2 and the 96....
probably 'my' VTI is a JDM vertion, I really donīt know.
for the tuning, can I simply put the stock 'b16a program' in my ecu?
I work in a shop with a dino, and we are unichipīs (piggyback) sellers in Brazil, so I donīt think I will have big problems with the tunning.
I hope you guys can understand me and may bad english.
And tank you for the help.
