d16y8 obd2 versus d15 dx obd1. what is the difference?
i have a d16y8 in my eg chassis, with a p28 obd1 computer. will the dx dizzy work? it fits, i have the car running, but it runs horribly, i can't even explain how it runs. it is way too rich.
are the CYP sensors different? i had a cyp code, i changed the dx dizzy to a different dx dizzy, code went away but runs the same.
so can i use an obd1 dx distributer on a obd2 y8 head?
any help appreciated. anything i search on this, my old post come up lol. same question with no straight answer.

thanks for the insight. im just hoping your wrong cause i got biger problems and i was hoping that would fix it.
there seems to be a lot of info scattered around about d series dizzies, i wish someone would do one simple write up or something. i am not knoweldegable enough to do it but i might just collect info on the net and put something together.
for example 96-98 dizzys are different than 99-00 wiring wise. some obd2's will wire right up to obd1 harness, color for color, some won't. there are a lot of variations.

Yeah, as far as I know they're all the same except OBD-I VTEC have a different dizzy.
