Default obd2 to obd1 idle problem, with code 14 iacv..

like i said i got a 96 dx with a y8 manifold and i put in an obd1 p28, and im getting a horrible idle...i also get code 14 for the iacv, but with obd2 its fine and i get no code. when i unplug it on obd1 it makes no difference, and when i put my finger over the hole it idles fine.. but on obd2 everything is fine...

i have searched this already and i see that obd1 cars use the fitv which obd2 doesnt have. and someone said to bypass the fitv, but if u dont ahve one how are u gonna bypass it??? the person that had this same problem also wasnt getting a code

help im tryin to make it to the track tomorrow and this is the last ditch

the dx eacv is a 3 wire valve...did you convert it to a 2 wire eacv

hey thanks that seemed to help me somewhat, but now i have a long lope from about 1500-3000 rpm but no check engine light.. the problem was in my obd2-1 harness....it had the wire there for the vtec or 2 wire iacv not mine, so i kinda used that link to pigure something out
im gonna try the iacv slide in uberdata to see if that helps
