d16y8 into a EK DX HATCHBACK Intake Manifold Question
I accidently bought a auto intake manifold instead of the manual one. Is there any way i can make it work, or will it be a big problem? If anyone has a manual one pm me. I have an auto with all sensors, im not sure if i can make it work or not my car is a 5 speed. Thanks Nick

Hey im not sure if it will work but if you get screwed and want to sell it, ill buy it if it comes complete with the throttle body and all sensors.... If i can find something on if it will work ill let you know.

does it have the throttle body? that will actually be easier to do.. since the iac is on the TB like the y7 one so u will only have to extend some wires .. i'm not sure if the auto y8 is 2wire or 3 wire so u may need to use your old TB

I have a d16y8 motor that i bought without the intake manifold, currently in my dx hatch is a y7, which is 2 wires and the auto is 3 i believe. Yes it is for sale but i have to get it from my moms house 4 hrs away next time i go there to install the motor. on the auto it isnt by the TB it is on the bottom part the iac. 3 wires, not 2 like the manual one im told.

ahhh.. i didn't realize you got the whole motor... did you get the ex hareness as well? since your doing the whole y8 swap i'd suggest getting the right mani... or you could just find a used skunk2 or edlebrock

yea, i thought you still had the y7 and wanted to put a y8 mani on it, but yea, go ahead and buy an edlebrock or skunk, edlebrock has more mid-range, so thats what i would choose but its all you, and buy a b-series tb while you're at it hell even one of those hondata im thermal gaskets
