Default d16y8 harness on b16a2 (OBD2)

Ihave used the d16y8 harness on the b16a2 motor and everything hooks up fine, even the knock sensor. Now The problem is that the "crank" sensor on the d16y8 harness is a 3 wire, two of these wires being the same color (brown/black) and on the b16a2 it is a 2 wire. how do I go about hooking up this sensor? do I just run both wires together, or just leave one out being it is the same color?

Swap should be in tomorrow and I need my wiring sorted out soon.

color match the 2 wires and leave the 3rd disconnected is what i've always heard.
