Default D16Y7 Timing qustion** QUICK HELP**

I am putting the timing belt back on my 96 dx coupe and i dont remember what line is the TDC for the crank. Is it supposed to be in the middle of the three lines or the line by itself on the right? Brain isnt working well today, went to Sabres game yesterday and had a few to many drinks.

So is it the middle one or the one by itself, my book reads like a IDK what. I have tried the middle one and the timing is way off, my car revs up and down up and down. I have tried the one by itself and the timing is way off as well.

Zero? It has to be on the O and then the cams faces up?

Did I spell it incorrectly?

This same exact thing was discussed yesterday IIRC
It's probably at the top of page two, but why would anybody look back there?

like i said put the white mark on tdc, then line up your cam marks double check them. now start your car and let it warm up and jumper service connecter next to ecu. point timing light and set at your degree.

you have to jump that witha wire. if you dont jump it the ecu wont let you time the car with the light. its located by the ecu in a green holder jus pull it out and grab a wire strip the ends and plug one in on each side.

I know where it is, i just never heard of needing to jump it to time the car. So let me get this straight, i need to jump the connector and then tim it with the light? The car is OBD-2 by the way.
