D16Y7 Manual transmission paired onto a automatic engine
So long story short I blew the motor in my 5 speed 96 civic and bought another motor for it but this one was an automatic. I've already popped the auto trans and flywheel off of the new engine, I should just be able to put my old manual flywheel and clutch onto the new engine right? Or is there something else I have to do to get it to work? Any help is appreciated and sorry if this question has already been answered I'm new to the forums and wasn't able to find a thread for this specific problem. (It's a D16 btw) Thanks in advance guys

Yes the engines are the same after you remove the 6 large bolts holding the flex plate (automatic) or flywheel (manual) to the crankshaft. You will need to use all the parts from the manual car including the bolts. Note that one of the bolt holes is deliberately spaced differently so that it only goes together one way.
