Just forget about the head gasket and get a DOHC swap. J/K. If you just want the head gasket go to a junkyard or the dealer.

Holy **** a used head gasket? WTF are you thinking dude?
I run a D16Y8 metal head gasket on my 11:1CR D16A6 in my beater and it works great.
Buy a new one from the Honda dealer and it will be under $40.00. Also torque the head to the specs for a 92-95 D16Z6 or 96-00 D16Y8 because the meatl gasket requires a bit more torque than the old fiber gasket.
I'll grab those specs for you if you need it.

Sorry B18! I wasn't even thinking, but thanks for the correction. Of course if he did then he could just get the DOHC.

2 layer cannot be bought. Basically the 2 layer is a 3 layer that someone took apart and took out the middle layer.
Stick with the fully assembled 3 layer.

The OE stock 3 layer metal gasket also raises CR slightly anyways. I'm not sure I'd trust a 2 layer, but maybe others who've done it will chime in.

Re: D16a6 with y8 headgasket (B18C5-EH2)
maybe they will help me out
i might use the y8 in stock form and just get my spare head milled a bit
but i would really like to use the y8 2 layer and get 9.5:1 compression and just use the delta cam
