Default exhaust, cat or no

I am finally picking up an exhaust and was wondering will a cat make the car more raspy sounding or less. I was going to just do a cat and muffler, no resonantor. Let me know what you think.

I just had 2.5" piping with a catco cat and a ~20" long resonator run back to a burned-out 5-zigen fireball axle-back exhaust that I've had forever. My car is hella quiet now. Spools pretty fast, too...it's nothing compared to when I was running open DP, but it does sound great. No honda "****." So to answer your question, a cat will cut out some rasp...from my experience.

forget the cat, it's a restrictor on turbo cars, but then again, you will pay a hefty fine if cops catch you without one.

No cat hair gets stuck and clogs your exhaust flow

if you realy get a good highflow cat such as carsound or catco, it won't rob too much power from you. You could even weld it in as a 3" cat to 2.5" piping to help out on flow. The cat will for the most part make teh car sound better.

I'll be putting a high flow cat on my setup. Help keep the air somewhat clean

I think I am just going to go with a 2.5" exhaust with a carsound cat. Any recommendations on a muffler?
