D15B7 Timing Belt Replacement
So, I am at the point where I need to remove the crankshaft pulley. I have the 50mm hex honda crankshaft tool; however, the pulley on this motor looks like the picture below. What are some suggestions to breaking loose the bolt? I do not have any air tools. It is a reference picture as the motor is still in the car.
My other question is, for TDC, I have aligned the UP mark on the cam sprocket pointing up while aligning the two straight marks with the cylinder head. There is a alignment on the crankshaft pulley where the lower timing belt cover has a pointer. It is stated to align the white mark on the pulley with the timing belt cover pointer. There is no white mark on my pulley, but three marks next to each other, and one mark by itself. I am assuming the one mark by itself would be the white mark. I googled an image and this showed up. Can anyone confirm that the white mark is indeed the individual mark?
TIA

Re: D15B7 Timing Belt Replacement
First soak the crank pulley bolt in PB Blaster or some equivalent penetrating oil overnight. You may be able to rent an electric impact wrench. Otherwise, remove a spark plug and fill a cylinder with some rope, and then break the bolt loose with breaker bar.
The white mark is indeed TDC1. Maybe if you clean the pulley with a wire brush, the mark will be visible.

It will jam the engine up and prevent it from turning. Personally i'd just stick a bar one of the round holes and let it jam up against the frame rail, that's all I ever did before I had air tools.

Re: D15B7 Timing Belt Replacement
I took my Flywheel cover off which is 4 bolts or so and took a big wrench wedged it in there and took my breaker bar to the pulley... might wanna put a small washcloth over the wrench to not damage the teeth on the flywheel. I have done this many times never any problems. The penetrating oil is also a good idea

Re: D15B7 Timing Belt Replacement
Take the starter out and jam a file in the flywheel against the bell housing. 4 ft gas pipe as a cheater.
For d15b7 the UP and the line on the cam should line up with the cylinder head. At the same time, the groove on the bottom pulley should line up with the arrow on the oil pump.
Seal the water pump properly. Tension the belt properly. Double check the marks after tensioning the belt.
