Does it make any grinding noises, or are you just having a hard time? It has little to do with what motor you have, as much as it does the condition of your tran's, clutch assembly, and master/slave cylinder. Could be that your linkage is hitting something, like your exhaust, or you tightended the 10mm bolt on the linkage too much.

only 1-2?
How is down shifting from 3-2?
Did you reuse your Si tranny or the one that came with the swap?
I'm going with a broken 1-2 shifter fork in the tranny take came with the swap as a educated guess for now.

Re: (Mista Bone)
i used the tranny that came with the swap..its only 1-2..downshifting goes in smooth though..and if i play with first and second going up and down it shifts smoothly, but thats doing that while standing.
