Default D-16Y8 with p28 chipped

sup guys i've got a D-16Y8 with a short ram intake....i put in my cousins chipped p28 obd2 ecu which redlines at 8k...(stock d-16 is at 6800rpm) well it pulls harder now and makes a good difference compared to the stock ecu...my question is, it safe to bring the motor up to 7800rpm??? this is just for temporay untill my cousin finishes building his all motor Y8...

thats true but the car really feels like a whole different car...i mean i was surprised at how much better my car picked up...i just want to know if its safe to go up to 8k...i think its not becuz the chipped ecu is made for a fully built D motor?

You're wrong, it came on the 96-97 del sol SI.

Anyway, it's prolly not chipped though, because yeah, is it reflashed? Do they even bother to do that...?
