Default crank TDC

ok i have a d15 that i have to get at tdc to put another head on. the unfortunate part is that the timing belt snapped. i've already taken the head off the block. my question is can i just turn the crank bolt with the 19mm still to get it at tdc? since the head is off, i cant match the marks on the crank pully to the timing belt cover on the head. can i just turn the crank pully untill the #2&3 pistons are sittin at the top?
