Crank seal
doing the timing belt on my 94 with bone stock 1.5.
I'm trying to get the crank oil seal out from around the crank nose (200K miles) and cannot get it out.
I have a seal puller that looks like a double sided hook, but it is made to be used when a seal doesnt have anything sticking through it.
I tried using something pointy to grab it, but didnt work.
what is the trick?

Re: Crank seal
thanks,
I guess the question is, do I need to remove the oil pump to get this seal off.
If I do, would it be a good time to replace the pump on a 200k motor, or do they last longer than dirt.
Then, when putting it back on, should i put the seal in the oil pump BEFORE putting the pump back on?
Surely somebody has done this before. Can anyone help with this?
