need help replacing crank seal/oil pump
so i just bought a 97 civic ex from so old woman who brought it into the shop that i work in. The car came in because of an excessive oil leak. It appears to becoming from the crank seal/oil pump area but the crank pulley is slinging it everywhere .
My question is can the crank seal be replaced without pulling the oil pump?
and can the oil pump be replace without puling the crank?
the car has 118k and is about a 8 out of 10 all around...i paid 300 bucks for it

this may sound stupid but is it possible to replace the oil pump without pulling the motor? looking at some pics it looks like there will not be enough clearance between the framerail and the crank to slide it out?

Drop the engine side mount to see if you will have enough room.
