Default crank pulleys

what goin on guys. im about to rebuild the head on my civic because it has a leaky valve and i was wondering if the crank pulleys (hex type and the one with the holes) were interchangeable? thanks guys.

You mean cam gears if your talking about your cylinder head, and if you've got a stock motor there is no need for you to use aftermarket cam gears. Unless you're hoping for *bling* horse power. Save your money for something else

no, the crank pulley, dont you have to remove the crank pulley to release the tension on the timing belt. the crank pulley that is on my civic is the one with holes around it and i was wondering if its interchangeable with the crank pulley that has the hex face.

You need to not touch your engine until you read a car maintenance manual for your car. Also you do not remove the crank pulley to release the tension. There is a tensioner bolt and pulley especially for this purpose.

Please read instructions manual for your car. There are numerous PDF versions available on the net. Google it.

to answer the OP's question. Yes they are interchangeable. if it is good tho, why waste money and buy another one?
