Cosmetic question.... what material is the interior trunk made out of???
Hey H-t
Even since i bought my eg hatch, i have had nothing in the rear hatch/trunk but bare metal and im getting sic of it. I started to fab up my own sheet of wood but my skills just plan old suck so it got me thinking. What was the stock material honda used for a hatchback style trunk? The main part that covers teh spare tire. Now i know the the eg6 from japan had a different rear with open sections and all but thats not what im talking about.
I did do a search and i believe the best answer i got was called a corkscrew material or some **** like that. I started useing 3/8th plywood for my custom job but i can not get it to fit into the trunk cause its to bulky.
If anyone can help me out greatly appreciated. Pics would be nice but i already posted a link in the app/cos. forum for it.

i used MDF, but thats just so i could have something to mount my nitrous bottle to and something to support a sub box. it is kinda bulky though.

the material feels like a very very thing MDF, or a really strong cardboard
