Coolant temp. sensor (code 6)
So i got my swap finished b20 into an ek (p06 chipped with a p75 map). I have a code 6 (coolant temp sensor) Now I swapped sensors with my old one off my d16 (it fit fine) But I still have code 6. I have the rad full of coolant (haven't let it run 2 cycles yet to finished the flush) but I know for a fact that the new sensor I put it was operating normally. Could it be that I'm not done my coolant flush? (which I doubt) or do I need a b-series CTS?

little update.. checked for power, it's getting power. I tried to check the resistance of the sensor but i couldnt get the leads on the prongs. plus it was getting a bit dark so I couldnt really see well. I also tried clearing the code.. after i reset the ecu, i turn the key on and the CEL was flashing again w/o even starting the car:S

When you find out what the hell it is let me know. My EM1 with built B16 is doing the same thing. I even swapped out the CTS with a brand new one from Honda. No go. Light still comes on. I replaced the sensor (big one up front, not the little one under the distributor or the one in the T-stat housing).
Like I said, let me know what you find out. I hate this damn light.

i only replaced #12.. i assume 11 and 13 are also ECT's then? I thought there was only that one on the therm. housing. Guess I'm gona have to replace 2 more sensors tomorrow. Hopefully this fixes it

From what I was told, #12 turns your fan on and off. #11 goes to your temp gauge on your instrument panel. #13 tells the computer what your coolant temp is, letting it enable VTEC, etc.
I have a B16, but have the same sensors you have. Like I said, I replaced the #13 one and it didn't make my light go away. So I guess if you go and replace that damn #11 and it goes away I'm gonna get one too.
