Default State Ref Question JDM B18b

im thinking about buying a jdm b18b and then take it to the state ref to get it BAR'd and i was wondering what I would have to change to make the jdm be smog legal for example intake manifold....etc.

the jdm motor is off a 2000 and the car is a 97

You''l need a lot to pass that motor with that car:

-get the usdm ECU for that or the closest USDM ECU for that motor
-make sure the motor isn't throwing any codes, if it is fix them
-then after all that, run some of the gauranteed to pass stuff, do a fresh oil change, full tune up(cap, rotors, plugs & wires) and finally prey like a mothafucka

of course if you could find an OBDIIA motor(96-98...I'm pretty sure) that is the year of the car or newer it'll save some hassles.
