Default Compression check question.

I have a 92 civic si and I am about to do a compression check on it. The question I have is do I have to disable the ignition system or is this not necessary. In my haynes manual it says I should but on this C-speed writeup it doesn't say anything about it. What I am thinking the ignition system does is send sparks through the spark plug wires and if I don't disable it I should just avoid touching the end of the wires to it. Please correct me if I am wrong and please tell me wetehr or not I have to disable the ignition system.

you eithe rneed to disable spark or fuel. I usually just pull the ecu fuse.

Crank the car, either pull the fuel pump fuse or unclip the harness going to the fuel pump. Let the car run until it cuts off (about 5 seconds). Then do your compression tests. Hook the fuel pump back up and start your car.

Which one is the fuel pump fuse, I couldn't find it. Can I just pull the ecu fuse instead.
