You do have the "ls/vtec conversion kit" on it..... right? Vtec also runs on oil pressure, just incase you didnt know. If this is old to you tell us your setup in detail.

Its not an LS/Vtec swap though, its a mini-me. That said to the OP did you remove the oil jet between cylinders 2 and 3? you need to do this on a B7/Z6 mini-me. Not sure about the Y8 head is the only thing.

Buy a sandwich plate run a pressure line to the side of the head where the oil.............not going to work you probably didnt block off the line on the bottom of the head. Anyway I think your issue is oil pressure. Gotta find a way for the oil pressure to hit that solenoid and pressure switch.

you do not need to run any external line for a d series mini me swap. like 94eg8 said you just need to remove the oiler in the middle of the block.

Its is an oil pressure issue...right?

It may be an oil pressure issue. Its the most likey thing, but that isn't to say the vtec solenoid isn't bad. But once again, you do not run an oil line for a d-series mini-me swap For an LS/Vtec CR-Vtec yes you run an oil line. A mini-me is not the same

have you checked the vtec solenoid gasket to see if the screen is clogged. if it is it wont see enough oil pressure to activate vtec. you could just bypass the whole pressure switch and just splice it into the vtec solenoid wire so when vtec activates it tricks the ecu into thinking that it has enough pressure. not the best idea but it would work.
