Code 20, electric load detector, my 92 Si doesn't seem to have one
I just swapped a JDM OBD1 B16A in my 1992 Civic Si running on the P30 ECU.
I got a code 20 : electric load detector so I start the diagnostic procedure which points me the connector under the fuse box. I remove the fuse box and lower cover and there is no electric load detector to be found. I have the JDM fuse box with me and there is indeed an ELD in there.
My question is this : Did 92 Si have an ELD at all? Is it located somewhere else? I'm using the OEM Honda shop manual and it doesn't indicate anything about the ELD being somewhere else on the Si. When I ran my old motor with the P28 I never got a code 20.

The fuse box under the hood IS the electronic load detector. Check the harness connections under the lower cover of the fuse box, also check the alternator fuse under the dash.
