clutch slipping but have pedal
When I drive my hatch (95 d15b7 supposedly SI tranny) the clutch slips like hell when you get into it but I still have a firm pedal. I can stomp the gas in first, second and third etc and the car will tach up and really not accelerate much unless you drive like grandma. I do notive a little throw out bearing noise and I have an exedy stage 2 clutch available (friend will sell cheap) and a brand new TIMKEN bearing but is that what the problem is? I adjusted the pedal but really does nothing. What are the possible. I hope its just the clutch because that would be the easy fix, being that I have everything readily available.

the pedal being stiff is just your pressure plate.....replace the clutch and resurface the flywheel and you will be good

Re: clutch slipping but have pedal
alright thats what I was hoping. It shouldnt be anything in the linkage due to an SI tranny, or the pedal. the only other **** I could come up with is the master or slave cylinder but I doubt it
