Default clutch slippage

i've heard numerous stories of how the 99-00 civic si's had a real bad clutch (slipping even before hitting 30k mi), well i bought my si used and now i have 27k and my clutch doesn't catch near redline at the end of every gear into the next gear (i.e. 1-2, 2-3, etc.) could there be somethin wrong with the springs in my clutch? i mean, could it be possible that my clutch doesn't grab because of somethin other than the clutch/flywheel being worn? help plz!

Default Re: clutch slippage (maxfbp2000)

the clutch in the Si/SiR is a real piece of art.....

we had SnyperSiR's clutch slipping at 6000KMs ......yes we were baggin the crap outta the car but we also know the value of revmatching and all the associated tricks with abusing the clutch less...

but damn.... the Si/SiR clutch is notoriously bad.... wasn't is somebody who identified the problem as being a really weak *** pressure plate??
