clutch slipping or is it?
i've heard numerous stories of how the 99-00 civic si's had a real bad clutch (slipping even before hitting 30k mi), well i bought my si used and now i have 27k and my clutch doesn't catch near redline at the end of every gear into the next gear (i.e. 1-2, 2-3, etc.) could there be somethin wrong with the springs in my clutch? i mean, could it be possible that my clutch doesn't grab because of somethin other than the clutch/flywheel being worn? help plz!

if its only at redline, then the slipping isnt that bad....are you sure your not glazin the clutch yourself adn making it seem like its slipping? if it slips at low rpms, then you got something bad.

it's slipping when im so-called "race shifting" (when im shiftin like im at the track, tryna hit the best 1/4 e.t. i can). when im shifting, lets say, from 1-2, ill let my left foot all the way off the clutch but my revs stay constant at around 7-8k rpm, kinda like it's not grabbin, but then i heard somewhere that the clutch has a retracting spring that allows the clutch pedal to be pushed back into the "non-depressed" position, i dont know if this makes sense but i think this problem with my clutch occurred after my mechanic (friend of a dad, don't ask) adjusted my clutch so the travel distance was much shorter. now it's back to stock but i have a feeling that something broke or something isn't operating like it should. plz help!
