Re: Clock in Dash keeps resetting?
that keeps the clock running and one that is only hot when the ignition is
switched on. The always-hot wire is dead on yours.
The radio will work if just the switched wire is working, but the station
presets and the clock are dropped every time you turn off the car.
Probably a fuse. Check all the fuses, especially anything marked "radio
backup", which is usually in the underhood fuse box on older hondas".

Hope that helps out somewhat. Fuse maybe ?

Re: Clock in Dash keeps resetting?
its nice because when you turn on your car, the clock starts, so its an easy Trip timer...
Do you have an aftermarket stereo? <--Might have blown a fuse installing it <3

Re: Clock in Dash keeps resetting?
I have the same prob, I replace the clock but to no avail yo. Checked ALL my fuses just no but still nothing. What now? Look for a faulty wire?

Check the installed Back Up fuse with a test light. You should measure battery voltage to body ground on both top test tabs. If that's fine, check whether voltage reaches the clock on the wire from the Back Up fuse. If not, the wire is broken.

Any word T? I just got my EG and Im having the same problem. My cluster light also turns on and off randomly. I've been told that it is because of the aftermarket radio, I haven't pulled it out yet, but Im almost positive it was a hack job.

Re: Clock in Dash keeps resetting?
Yeah I too got an aftermarket radio man and that mess don't work since I got it. As far as the problem goes, the only problem I came down to is the wire is potentially broken. Battery is new since I bought the car last week Sat, ALL the fuses works, and the only thing I could really come up with is what the guy said about the broken wire.
All I have to say is check your fuses and battery. If both works the prob would be the broken wire. Hope that works mane, I'm about to take pics of my whip right now btw

Bro, Im no mechanic, but this broken wire theory sounds kind of sketch, isn't it super rare that factory wires break? Try removing the stereo and see if your clock still resets, when I get back home tonight, that is what I'll be doing. Do you cluster lights flicker?

Re: Clock in Dash keeps resetting?
Nope but when Ron said broken wire he probably ment the signal is lost. I'm no electronic expert but it sounds legit :/ hope I don't sound like a fool lol

Re: Clock in Dash keeps resetting?
I beieve ron brought up the broken wire just because the problem your having with the clock is that its losing power from the wht/blu wire that is constant source voltage
it doesnt have to be a broken wire, but the reason your clock keeps resetting is because voltage isnt at the wht/blu wire

Re: Clock in Dash keeps resetting?
you have to check for voltage at the no.32 fuse under the hood (7.5 amps)
if that use is blown use a test light or multimeter and check for voltage at the 2 open ends of the fuse. if voltage is at one end but not the other, your fuse is blown and needs to be replaced
if voltage is found at both ends of the fuse then your fuse is fine but voltage still doesnt go to the clock
the only thing between that no.32 fuse and the clock is the wht/blu wire, so that must be where voltage stops, meaning your wire is broke
if thats the case, you can run your own wire, but yeah its pretty hard to do the right way
the no.32 fuse is the "Back Up" fuse.

Re: Clock in Dash keeps resetting?
Awesome you guys are the ****. As far as my status goes here it is.
All my fuses are good even changed a couple with new ones. Battery is good it's new though I shouldnt rely on a new battery but I am. Next thing I gotta do next is run the White/Blue wire... And again I'm no electronic expert so I'll have to either learn or call a buddy to do it for me
Again man, thanks for you guys inputs. Bump*

Re: Clock in Dash keeps resetting?
Fixed the prop by redoing the whole harnest and remember the consent white/blue wire? That was also a problem. That said I have a new radio that Best Buy installed for $85 (because they had to redo the harnest which also fixed the white/blue wire) and a buddy and I installed the two rear speakers.
That said I spend a totall of 160bucks for everything. Was it worth it for just a simple problem of a clock not working? Well I got both a radio and rear speakers upgrade and fixed my clock in the process so... Kill two birds with one stone. Yes it was worth it. Well hope my take on it help you guys. Till then JDM FO life!
