clock memory loss problem
Hi,
Tonight I installed one of those flat antennas that go in your back window because my stock antenna wire is broken. The flat amplified antenna required power, so I spliced into the radio fuse in the fuse box on the drivers side. When I went to put the center console back in my radio turned off, and now it won't turn back on, and now my clock doesn't keep the time after I turn off my car. It just resets to 1:00. I removed the antenna and everything and it still doesn't hold time and the radio still doesn't turn on. I checked the radio fuse and it's fine. Any ideas guys?
Thanks in advance,
~glock

It sounds like you lost the 12V constant power to your radio.
On all radios there are two wires with fuses: An Ignition or Accesory wire and a Constant fuse wire.
The Constant power wire is what powers the radio and keeps the memory for the clock.
Check all your fuses under the dash and under the hood, sometimes they group the fuses together for multiple things. Like Cig lighter and so on.
The Acc wire is like a remote turn on they use for amps. When the ignition turns on it signals the radio to turn on and then it is ran off your constant power wire.
