Default classic clutch *press and squeak*

cold clutch makes a squeek when you step on it. the classic issue with all civic 96-00. i keep hearing about clutch spring. is that even worth the pain of replacing it, or is there a shorter step. (ie can of grease?) i can not seem to find a straight answer, i just keep getting "bring it in" from the worst honda dealer in the country, Serramonte.

is it coming from inside the car or the transmission??? if inside the car could just be something that needs a little grease...

no its outside. under the hood. a friend once threw some WD40 somewhere in the engine and it stopped for a few weeks, then came back. but he since moved.

The only way I've found to fix this is to grease the hell out of the throwout bearing and the fork... and the only way to do that is to pull the transmission.

i wouldn't recommend alot of grease on it..just a little bit...if u put too much it can get on the pressure plate then lead to your clutch slipping..

Just grease the slave cylinder and fork where it enters the transmission, make sure to use some high temp. it should stop in a few days of driving. Took mine about a week idk why
