Clanking noise
I have a clanking noise that sounds kinda like it is under the middle of the car when I put the car in gear, it sounds like a clank the scrape. I checked to see if anything was loose on the outside but there was nothing then. it sounds really bad when I put it in reverse sounds like something is moving around. It is a d16z6 with a DX tranny and a clutchmasters clutch and a honda OEM TO bearing. HELP!

Re: Clanking noise (fsck3r)
check your downpipe to cat bolts....
when they get loose and you start taking off, it will sound like a clank.
when you put your car in reverse and engage the clutch, the engine tweaks differently and the clunk noise will sound a bit louder

Sounds like your shift assembly is hitting your exhaust. That would explain the scraping and the vibration would sound bad. Can you feel any feedback in the shift ****?

fixed the problem, the heatshield above the Cat Conv. was rattling against the exhaust... No more clank, Now I just have to fix my cracked exhaust mani. and another sensor
