I have a 1987 Honda civic 1.5 L 3 barrel

Problem started with stalling after it reached normal operating temp.
Took to Honda dealer, they said blown head gasket. Coolant in combustion chamber causing it to stall. Pressure check on cooling system failed.

Took car home, pulled engine down, gasket didn't look bad but since I'm already here what the hell. Took head to machine shop they pressure tested, OK, they cleaned up mounting surface. Reassembled motor, bottom end checked out, replace water pump, timing belt, belt tensioner, all hoses, had radiator checked-OK, replaced spark plugs, wires and cap.
Reassembled motor, set timing, primed oil pump, bleed air from engine block/head in the coolant system.

Engine started on first try, set timing to 20 degrees and bleed air from block once again. Road test

Runs but dies after it warms up, it can sit there and idle and then just dies. It will only start at 1/2 to full throttle, but dies as soon as you let off pedal. Let the engine cool for 15 minutes and it starts up and idles again.

Did compression check after engine stalled, 165 lbs +/- 3 lbs on all cylinders
Double checked timing - fine

No pressure on radiator cap? Another leak? Can't find! Maybe normal?

Does anyone have any ideas? Carb? Distributor? Starts at 1/2 to full throttle so I'm assuming distributor is good?
