civic hid wont come on ****
i just installed a mccullochs hid kit ( single beam) in a 94 civic. it suppose to be plug and play but the hid wouldnt come on. i had to make a switch for the hid and wire it straight to the battery to turn it on...is there anything i can do beside turnin it on and off with a switch . i want to use my factory switch . thanks

If it's not an actual P&P kit, then you need to hard-wire them into the headlight harness. Have any pics of your set up? Mine are McCulloch as well, and they're a pure P&P kit, no wiring @ all.

thats the exact kit i got ..same wire , ballast , etc..only difference is probably the bulb size..i got a H4...i plugged up everything where it suppose to go but still wont come on with factory switch...is it maybe my headlight socket not givin enough juice to push the HIDS?

hids use less wattage then a standard bulb so i don't see why that would be your problem. Try your high beams first like the other guy said and see if that makes em turn on. If not then you'll need to wire up a basic 12v relay running off the wire for the low beams in the stock harness. That way you can retain your stock switch.
and to the other guy. if they come on when you turn on your high beams, then you just need to switch the wires around in the headlight connector. ones ground. the other is a 12v to switch on low, and the remaining 12v wire is to kick on the high beam. the hid harness must have the wire in the wrong spot for some reason so either switch around the wires on the hid kit itself so that it hits the right wire in the stock harness. or if thats not possible just switch the low beam and high beam wire at the harness plug.

Mine did the same thing at first (single beam) and I had the power prong on the harness in the high beam spot at first. Move the power prong to the other open spot, and they should work.
