civic ex 94 bogs and die when press the gas
hi guys, I'm working on a friend car.
Completely stock Civic 94 ex D16z6 manual trans. No Cel.
So he changed, Distributor, wires, plugs and IACV.
Today he brought the car to me, with a new TPS and fuel filter. Installed the pieces and the same thing. connect my timing light the mechanical time is on spot, jump the connector and the dizzy was a little advanced put it on spot and still choking and die. If you play with the gas it run but sputtering at take off and no rev. more than 5-5.5k.(I not forced it more than that).
Fuel pressure is steady at 42 psi
Thanks in advance for any help.

This is very similar to the problem I'm having, keep an eye on my thread, a few above yours. Mine doesn't die but it sputters like hell and almost quits. Does the speedometer fluctuate with throttle application?

maybe you not read completely.
But I put my timing light, mechanical time was on spot.
Distributor was a little advanced and was corrected to spot.
The IACV is brand new Honda and the o2 is new but bosch.

Re: civic ex 94 bogs and die when press the gas
they are brown perfect at idle.
If I accelerate it at the point it keep sputtering and shut off the engine they turn whitish.
It looks like a vacuum leak but I literally bath this intake and hoses in carb cleaner and nothing. Also I put other map that I have laying around and the same(not sure of the state of this).
If somebody can supply me the voltages of the map sensor in different vac/press.
NotAracist, thanks for your help in my personal car thread in the F.I. forum.
